This Privacy Policy explains how Sports Stats Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use wheretopadel.com (the “Service”). Sports Stats Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, and is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — the email address you use to sign in.
• Listing data — information you submit about a club, which may include a club name, address, contact email, phone number, website and photos. Please only submit contact details you are entitled to share.
• Payment data — if you buy a Premium subscription, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited billing details but not your full card number.
• Usage and device data — pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device information, collected through analytics and server logs.

2. How and why we use your data

We process personal data to:

• operate the directory, publish listings and provide the Service (legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interests);
• authenticate you and secure your account (performance of a contract; legitimate interests);
• take payment for and manage Premium subscriptions (performance of a contract);
• understand and improve how the Service is used through analytics (consent, where required, or legitimate interests);
• communicate with you about your listing or account (legitimate interests; performance of a contract); and
• comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse (legal obligation; legitimate interests).

3. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Service to function, and analytics tools — including Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager — to understand usage. Analytics cookies are used where permitted by applicable law and, where required, with your consent. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, including:

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage;
• Stripe — payment processing;
• Netlify — website hosting and delivery;
• Google — analytics and tag management.

Published listing information (such as a club’s name, location and public contact details) is, by design, visible to anyone using the directory. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.

6. How long we keep data

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Account and listing data is retained while your account or listing is active; billing records are kept as required by tax and accounting law. You can ask us to delete your data as described below.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@wheretopadel.com.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
